Root came up with an innovative idea of setting up insurance pricing based on a user’s driving behavior. It offered an app to the users that measured their driving behavior for two weeks and provided them a report based on which users were able to get reduced insurance prices from the insurance companies. Once users got the quote, they were able to buy the policy right from the app.
